About EDANLNews & EventsTrainingMembershipResourcesAwards

Happy Friday to economic developers across Newfoundland and Labrador.

There is lots to think about as 2025 starts to pick up steam.

From an EDANL perspective, it is going to be an exciting year. We have lots of plans relating to training and professional development, storytelling, and more that we are going to be talking about in the very near future. We are also finalizing the details for our Annual Conference so that you all have as much time as possible to plan to attend. In terms of timing, we are looking at the early Fall and will have details to share very soon on dates and location.

From the perspective of an economic developer in their day-to-day, it is likely to be both an exciting and challenging year. On the one hand there are growth opportunities presenting themselves from one end of the province to the other that we hope will crystallize within the next 12 months. On the other hand, there is no doubt that the threat of tariffs etc. are going to present significant challenges for many of us.

In all cases – we have each other to lean on to bounce ideas, experiences, resources, and insights off of. I am really looking forward to what we are going to do together in 2025.
