Happy 2020! I hope the holiday season was a time to rest and recharge, and that your desk wasn’t too heavy when you returned.
As I reflect on 2019, I think about our growing numbers of practitioners who have come into our network; our diverse conference in Deer Lake; a new, expanded board; Year 1 of UW’s Economic Development Training being hosted in St. John’s; excellent conversations that occurred throughout the network; and such positive representation of NL at EDAC this year to name just a few milestones.
2019 was such a positive year for the organization and 2020 is shaping up to be a stellar year as well! The Board has been busy reviewing the strat plan to ensure its relevancy for the term, discussing professional development needs, membership, and the upcoming conference. So many great things we can’t wait to share with you!
I encourage you to stay connected, pass along success stories or best practices, and share highlights of projects you may be working on. Engage with your peers and ask questions, or provide suggestions for topics that interest you.
Here’s to a fantastic 2020 ahead!
